At the beginning of every year Japanese Bible agencies meet to share updates and discuss topics impacting their work.
This year the meeting felt different. Almost all agencies attended in person. Meeting face to face makes communication so much easier after years of Zoom meetings. Also, several agencies sent new young and energetic representatives.
Pastors Matsumoto and Kori from the Leadership Team represented the JSL Bible translation. After their update and a presentation on Deaf culture and Deaf history, new participants unfamiliar with the JSL Bible asked many excellent questions.
The Bible Project, now available in Japanese, offered some resources to the JSL Bible.
The pastors also made good connections with the Japanese Gideons .
They returned to translation work encouraged by the response from the hearing agencies.
