We’re excited to share two new videos: “JSL Bible: Who We Are,” which introduces our ministry and translation work, and “JSL Bible App User Guide,” which walks viewers through the app’s features and functions.
Sando Plus, a Deaf-led video production company, produced both videos, and Mika Imai directed them. They are presented entirely in Japanese Sign Language (JSL), with English subtitles for those who do not know JSL.
“JSL Bible: Who We Are”
What is the difference between reading the Bible in written Japanese and experiencing it in Japanese Sign Language?
This video illustrates the challenges a Deaf person may face when given a Bible in written Japanese, and the difference it makes when encountering Scripture in their own language.
It also introduces the mission behind JSL Bible and offers a behind-the-scenes look at how Scripture is translated into Japanese Sign Language.
“JSL Bible App User Guide”
This video provides a step-by-step introduction to the JSL Bible app, where users can access Scripture in Japanese Sign Language for free.
It explains how to navigate the app and use its features, making it easier for both new and existing users to explore the Bible in JSL.
Whether you’re discovering JSL Bible for the first time or are already familiar with our work, we hope these videos will help you learn more about our mission and resources.
Please feel free to share them with your friends, family, churches, and communities!
